
The idea of buying Real Estate Owned (REO) sub-prime mortgages from the U.S., U.K. and European banking system began just before President Obama was elected. After the election the effort began to pick up more energy and enthusiasm. Many well-known personalities in business also believed that this debt should be resolved privately and where necessary; return it to America where it was created.
Before you begin to thinking that the idea was completely altruistic, the investors' had declared that it would still meet all of the basic and fundamental tenants of business. The prime mover that allowed them to secure large private commitments came with the realization that any upward movement in the market would reap a corresponding reward.
Any historian will tell you that the U.S. real estate market always comes back. The dynamics and the basic economic law of supply and demand determine that it will rebound. This will happen in the U.S. and globally. Investors' know that once this toxic debt works its way through and then out of the banking system, banks will once again begin lending and investing in their respective economies.
Our challenge at C4 is to meet with "C" level banking and business executives that have the authority to sell this paper to us. Our program and methodology is straightforward.
